Columbia Pacific Management was founded in 1989 by Seattle- based entrepreneur Daniel R. Baty, who has been successfully investing in & developing private healthcare and senior living companies for over 40 years. His vision was to serve the growing needs across Asia for high-quality, modern health care within convenient access to major cities and with an emphasis on affordability and transparency. Baty is the founder of investment firm, Columbia Pacific Advisors LLC, as well as Emeritus Corporation, which merged with Brookdale Senior Living, LTD. (NYSE : BKD) in 2014 to form the largest operator of senior living communities in the United States. He has previously served as Chairman of Holiday Retirement Corporation, the largest operator of retirement centers in the U.S. and Canada, which was sold to Fortress Investment Group in 2007. Baty also serves on the Board of Clarity Health Services.
Sheares Healthcare Group (SHEARES) was set up with the vision of shaping the future of healthcare delivery, primarily in Asia, through innovative and patient- focused care. It is wholly- owned by Temasek, a global investment company headquartered in Singapore.
