DANIEL R. BATY
Director
Mr. Baty is a founder of Columbia Pacific Management, Inc. Columbia Pacific Advisors, LLC and Emeritus Corporation (NYSE: ESC), one of the largest and most experienced operators of freestanding assisted living communities located throughout the United States. He has served as Chairman of Emeritus since its inception in 1993.
Mr. Baty also previously served as the Chairman of Holiday Retirement Corporation, the largest operator of retirement centers in the U.S. and Canada, from 1987 to its sale in 2007 to Fortress Investment Group for more than $6 billion.
Mr. Baty has been successfully investing in and developing private companies for over 40 years. Currently, Mr. Baty also serves on the Board of Clarity Health Services.
Mr. Baty is a founder of Columbia Pacific Management, Inc. Columbia Pacific Advisors, LLC and Emeritus Corporation (NYSE: ESC).
ELLON XU
Director
Ellon Xu is responsible for Sheares Healthcare’s China business, driving the development of our strategy in China and working closely with our portfolio companies to deliver performance.
Prior to joining Sheares, Ellon had a successful career in management consulting first with Monitor Group and then with Bain & Company, focusing primarily on healthcare businesses. This was followed by several years leading the greenfield development of a Sino-German joint venture hospital in Shanghai as its founding CEO. Most recently, Ellon was Vice President Strategy at Fosun Healthcare Holdings.
Ellon graduated from Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University with a Bachelor degree in Clinical Medicine. He also holds a Master degree in Business Administration from University of California at Berkeley.
Ellon Xu is responsible for Sheares Healthcare’s China business, driving the development of our strategy in China and working closely with our portfolio companies to deliver performance.
NATE MCLEMORE
Director
Mr. McLemore serves as Managing Director of Columbia Pacific Management, Inc. for International Healthcare.
Mr. McLemore has over twenty years of healthcare experience in both early stage companies and large multinational corporations. Most recently, Mr. McLemore helped run the Health Solutions Group of Microsoft, where he managed a global sales and services team, including the entry by the company into the health IT market of China, and the M&A activity of the division, where he led several acquisitions and the formation of Caradigm, a joint venture between Microsoft and GE Healthcare.
Mr. McLemore has a Bachelor of Science from Willamette University and an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley.
Mr. McLemore serves as Managing Director of Columbia Pacific Management, Inc. for International Healthcare.
TK UDAIRAM
Director
Mr Udairam is the Chief Operating Officer of Sheares Healthcare Group, a wholly-owned entity of Temasek.
He has 40 years of healthcare experience in Singapore with substantial experience in the operation and management of hospitals. His career has spanned the full range of healthcare management from operations administration to chief executive of a 790 bedded acute hospital. His role prior to joining Sheares was to manage a regional healthcare system responsible for approximately 1.1 million people. He was intimately involved in healthcare IT, including the rollout of the national Medisave scheme in Singapore and is currently serving on the board of HIMSS.
Mr Udairam is the Chief Operating Officer of Sheares Healthcare Group, a wholly-owned entity of Temasek.

XU HAIPENG
CEO – Shanghai Kaiyuan Orthopedics Hospital
Mr. Xu Haipeng is the CEO of Shanghai Kaiyuan Orthopedics Hospital, a member of Columbia China (Kaiyi Hospitals, Kaiyi Clinics and Cascade Senior Livings). He is in charge of the overall operations and management of Kaiyuan Orthopedics Hospital. Mr. Xu has more than 20 years of experiences in the healthcare industry. Before joining Columbia China, he had assumed Hospital Group General Manager and CEO of multiple hospitals under the Far East Horizon Health Group.
Mr. Xu graduated from the former Lanzhou Business School (now Lanzhou University of Finance and Economics) and holds an MBA from The Open University of Hong Kong.
SHEN ZHE
CEO – Wuxi Kaiyi Hospital
Dr Shen is the CEO of Wuxi Kaiyi Hospital, a subsidiary of Columbia China Group (Kaiyi Hospital, Kaiyi Clinic and Kaijian Senior Living) and takes charge of the hospital operations and management.
Dr Shen graduated from Nanjing Medical University in 1987 and has since practicing as a cardiologist for 35 years, operating over 10,000 surgeries. Over the years, he has held clinical and managerial positions from Resident, Attending, Department Chief, Vice President and eventually Hospital President. Before joining Columbia China, he was President of Gaoyou People’s Hospital, a level 3 general hospital in Jiangsu Province.
Dr Shen has achieved numerous awards in his career. He is a recognized 333 Outstanding Talent and a recognized Top Hospital President in Jiangsu.
DAI HUI
Chief Executive Officer, Jiaxing Kaiyi Hospital
Mr. Dai Hui is the CEO of Jiaxing Kaiyi Hospital, a subsidiary of Columbia China (Kaiyi Hospital and Cascade Living), and takes charge of the operation and management of the hospital.
Mr. Dai graduated from the Fourth Military Medical University with a bachelor’s degree in clinical medicine, and later received his master’s degree and doctorate degree in hepatobiliary surgery from Xijing Hospital of the Fourth Military Medical University. Prior to joining Columbia China, Mr. Dai worked in clinical and operational management at Wanda Healthcare Industry Group, Evergrande Health Industry Group, West China Hospital of Sichuan University, Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, Detroit Medical Research Center, Mount Sinai Medical Center, and Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. During this period, he was also in charge of projects at UPMC (University of Pittsburgh Medical Center) International Hospital in Chengdu, and Boao Evergrande International Hospital. Mr. Dai’s diverse professional background has helped him cultivate extensive experience with the operation and management of hospitals in China and the United States.
Mr. Dai has also mastered advanced clinical medical techniques and has participated in dozens of orthotopic liver transplantation and allogeneic orthotopic liver transplantation. In 2019, he also obtained the national GCP training certificate and the national da Vinci Surgical Robot training certification.

LU YI
Group Chief Financial Officer
Lu Yi is the Group Chief Financial Officer and the Chairman of Group IT Steering Committee of Columbia China (Kaiyi Hospital & Clinic, Cascade Living).
Lu Yi has more than 18 years of extensive financial management and risk advisory experiences in various multinational companies. Lu Yi served as the Vice President of Audit & Compliance and the Secretary of the Board when he firstly joined Columbia China. Prior to that, he held various finance and business development leadership roles at Honeywell International Inc. He also worked in Deloitte & Touche with assurance and risk advisory experience.
Lu Yi is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (FCMA), Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) and a Fellow Certified Practising Accountant Australia (FCPA Aust.).
Lu Yi has obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from Shanghai International Studies University and holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from BI Norwegian Business School (Handelshøyskolen BI).
COCO CHEN
Vice President – Human Resources
Coco Chen serves as Group Vice President of Human Resources at Columbia China.
She has more than 18 years of overall HR management experience in various multinational companies. Prior to joining Columbia China, Coco was HRGM of Cigna & CMB and APAC HR Head of Cigna International .
She graduated with a Master Degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and holds a Doctor of Business Administration degree from the Business School Netherlands.
STEVEN ZHONG
Vice President – Legal & Compliance
Steven Zhong is the Vice President of Columbia China responsible for Legal & Compliance.
Steven has more than 20 years of Legal & Compliance, experienced in the practices of corporate governance & compliance and M&A, etc. Prior to joining Columbia China, as a partner in law firm, he provided long-term legal & compliance services to various multinational corporations, state-owned enterprises and government agencies.
Steven held a Bachelor of Law from East China University of Political Science and Master of Law from Chicago-Kent Law School. He also held Bachelor of Computer Software from shanghai Jiaotong University.
PETER MENG
Vice President – Development & Project Management
Peter Meng serves as Group Vice President of Development and Project at Columbia China.
Peter Meng has 28 years of experiences in construction project management as consultant and owner representative. Prior to joining Columbia China, Peter was project director for ARCADIS and project management director for GLP.
Peter Meng graduated with Master Degree of Engineering in Construction Management from University of Canterbury. He also obtained his MBA from Fudan University.
